Treating Everyone Like Family
Our business is based on family. On treating people how we like to be treated. And we think of our employees and the communities we work in as part of that family. That’s why we created the position of C.P.O., Chief People Officer. As C.P.O., Wayne Harris visits each Walker Concrete plant, talking with employees about how things are going and discussing any concerns. He also sends birthday cards, celebrates when babies are born, and makes hospital visits.

In addition to supporting our employees, we also reach out to the people in our local communities. By striving to be a good neighbor, Walker supports local schools, churches, and other organizations through donations of time and money.
